Shabba-Doo’s street-dance history symposiums is, generally, an academic instruction, conducted at an academic institution or offered by a dance school or professional dance organizations. It has the function of uniting all facets of street-dance, focusing on timelines on any particular dance subject, in which everyone present is requested to actively participate. This is often accomplished through an ongoing Socratic dialogue with a hip hop cultured leader or dance instructor, or through a more formal presentation. Normally, participants range from beginners to seasoned professionals in the field under discussion.
The idea behind Shabba-Doo’s seminar system is to familiarize students more extensively with the methodology of their chosen dance style and also to allow them to interact with examples of the practical problems that most often occur during research work. In addition, Shabba-Doo, essentially suggests assigned readings to open the discussion, questions can be raised and civil, non-combative debates can be conducted. It is relatively informal, at least compared to so-called history seminars offered by unqualified street-dancers around the world.
Shabba-Doo as a motivational or inspirational speaker is one who delivers speeches intended to motivate and inspire an audience. Business persons, Dancers, Promoters, Dance Studio owners, and other entities may employ Shabba-Doo as a motivational speakers (for example) to communicate business and career strategies, of all types with clarity, to help all in attendance to see the future in a positive light, and to inspire workers and dancers to pull together with direction. Shabba-Doo’s speaking style itself is more than a pep talk. It’s a way of life!
